Drivers Killed in Wrong-Way Collision near Far Hills Avenue in Summerlin

SUMMERLIN, NV (April 6, 2021) – Early Saturday morning, Jacob Wehrung and Ammiel Sera-Josef were killed in a head-on crash on 215 Beltway.

The crash happened around 12:45 a.m., near the Far Hills Avenue exit. Nevada Highway Patrol arrived to the area shortly after.

According to reports, Wehrung was was driving a white 2006 Volkwagen Passat south on the northbound lanes. Meanwhile, Sera-Josef was heading northbound in the fast lane in a silver 2011 Scion XB.

There, 30-year-old Wehrung and 37-year-old Sera-Josef collided head-on. Emergency crews pronounced both men dead on scene.

The surrounding area on 215 Beltway was closed during cleanup and preliminary duties. But, the roadway has reopened.

Troopers continue to investigate the crash, which marked the 19th fatal accident in Southern Nevada so far this year.
