One Killed, Two Injured in Rear-End Collision along Nogales Highway

TUCSON, AZ (September 1, 2022) – 23-year-old Jacob Bianco lost his life Friday following a two-car crash on Nogales Highway.

The collision occurred on August 12th around 10:15 p.m., along the 8500 block of South Nogales Highway.

According to reports, Bianco was traveling southbound on Nogales Highway in a Chevrolet when he collided with the rear of the GMC.

First responders arrived and transported Bianco to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead on August 21st. Meanwhile, two of the GMC occupants were also transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Officials are currently withholding the names of the injured victims until their families have been notified.

Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. Preliminary findings indicated that speed was the cause of the incident, however an active investigation is currently underway.


No words can mend the broken hearts and sorrow felt during this delicate moment. Deepest condolences and sympathies are with the families and friends of Jacob Bianco.
