The Grammy Museum screens JACO, a documentary on American jazz musician and composer Jaco Pastorius. Produced by Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, the film chronicles the life and music of the Grammy-nominated, Latin-influenced electric bass player (1951-1987), whose known for his work with Joni Mitchell, Weather Report and Herbie Hancock, as well as his own recordings. The film includes interviews with Mitchell, Hancock, Flea, Sting, Wayne Shorter, Carlos Santana, Bootsy Collins and Rush’s Geddy Lee, in addition to the artist’s family and friends. Following the screening, Trujillo and director Paul Marchand take part in a panel discussion.
