25-Year-Old Man Killed in Rollover Collision near Mile Marker 75

ELKO, NV (November 23, 2022) – Saturday night, Jachai Calvin was pronounced dead after a rollover crash on State Route 225.

The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m., near mile marker 75 on November 17th. 

For reasons under investigation, 25-year-old Calvin was driving a GMC truck when he lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the truck rolled down a nearby embankment, ejecting Calvin from the vehicle.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 25-year-old Calvin dead at the scene.

Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Authorities are working to identify if alcohol or drugs contributed to the incident. Those with further information regarding the rollover crash on SR-225 are encouraged to contact Elko Officials immediately.
