J. Worra Takes a Day Trip: Chicagoan bass DJ and producer J. Worra has been based here in L.A. for about seven years now. “You’ve also got a city that has so many talented artists, engineers and vocalists.” she told us in 2019. “Being around all that inspiration makes it really special.”

As writer Graham Berry mentioned back then, she’s headlined Dirtybird Campout, Beyond Wonderland, Holy Ship!, Splash House, CRSSD, Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival, and remixed for the likes of Kascade, Deadmau5, Party Favor, and Gorgon City. Naturally the pandemic put the brakes on, but now she’s back with this Sunday afternoon “Day Trip” show at the Academy, on the patio.

Westend, Black V Neck, Luke Andy and Laurasalllike also perform.
