J.J. Hebert takes the Los Angeles book publishing world by storm with his company MindStir Media

J.J. Hebert has quickly brought MindStir Media to the forefront of the book publishing scene in Los Angeles. With a location on Sunset Boulevard, MindStir is positioned as the best book publisher in LA, according to the International Business Times and other sources. Hebert offers book publishing and marketing services through MindStir Media including book design, editing, illustration, mentoring, book printing and distribution, and ongoing book publicity and marketing campaigns geared toward launching books onto best-seller lists.

J.J. Hebert is notably responsible for creating major partnerships with celebrities. According to the Associated Press’ (AP) website, he was able to set up a partnership between MindStir Media and Tori Spelling, the famous actress, producer and writer. A resident of LA herself, Spelling teaming up with the leading Los Angeles book publisher is an ideal fit. Through her partnership, J.J. Hebert and MindStir are able to give independent authors a legitimate chance of seeing their books adapted into film and television. Spelling is on the lookout for quality stories that she can get optioned. Prior to this alliance, indie authors were not afforded these types of opportunities. Spelling also makes herself available through MindStir to help authors promote their books.

Another celebrity partnership that J.J. Hebert facilitated was between Mariel Hemingway and MindStir Media. As per Film Daily, Hemingway assists in promoting books through writing forewords and filming endorsement videos. One such promotional video she filmed for a 7-year-old author drove the child’s book up the best-seller charts at Amazon.com. Mariel is the granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway, the renowned novelist. She found fame in her early years appearing in major motion pictures such as the Superman franchise and Manhattan.

In 2020, J.J. Hebert also connected with Shark Tank’s Kevin Harrington. As one of the original “sharks” of Shark Tank, Harrington continues to search for up and coming businesses that he can help. He decided to partner with Hebert and MindStir after providing the company with a glowing endorsement video posted on the MindStir Media homepage. The Harrington-MindStir connection helped Hebert with the aforementioned collaborations and major business growth. Harrington offers an endorsement package through MindStir Media as well. Self-publishing authors are able to pitch their books to him and get their books endorsed and marketed by Harrington via MindStir.

Tori Spelling, Mariel Hemingway and Kevin Harringon’s connection to J.J. Hebert and MindStir Media attracted other celebrities, too. Tom Arnold, Hollywood actor and comedian, praised the publishing company in a video posted on the MindStir Youtube last year. In the video, Arnold called MindStir Media a quality company with quality people.

Gary LeVox, the lead singer of the Rascal Flatts, raved about MindStir Media in a video also posted on MindStir’s Youtube channel: “I’m a big believer in using writing to share your message with the world,” he said. “You know, for me it’s writing songs. For you, it’s writing books. And, you know, either way, it’s all about putting your words out there and impacting lives. But you need the right platform. And that’s why I recommend MindStir Media, and it’s an award-winning self-publishing company. They can help turn your writing into an amazingly polished book and help you promote it, too. So, check out MindStir Media! You can’t change the world if you don’t take the steps. Go there now.”

The entire MindStir Media empire was built upon J.J. Hebert’s own success as a writer and entrepreneur. He famously published his own debut novel, Unconventional, in 2009. The novel sold over 100,000 copies worldwide, making it one of the most successful indie inspirational books in history. His success as a writer captivated aspiring writers all over the world. Aspiring authors started to contact Hebert to get help with their own manuscripts. That’s when he opened the doors to Mindstir Media and started providing publishing and marketing services. To date, Hebert has published around 1,000 titles in various genres. Many of the books are award-winners and best-sellers.

Along the way, he joined the Forbes Business Council and became a contributor for Entrepreneur Magazine, where he shares business and writing/publishing tips. Hebert is also a USA Today, Wall Street Journal and no. 1 Amazon best-selling author of five books. He founded MindStir Media in 2009 in New Hampshire and later expanded to the NYC and Los Angeles markets.
