A man was fatally shot on his way to catch a bus in South Los Angeles March 27. Ivan Castro, 20, was found on the front yard of a home with a gun shot wound to his chest.

According to police reports, the shooting occurred at 11:30 p.m. Saturday near East 22nd Street and Griffith Avenue as Castro was walking towards a bus stop on his way home to East Los Angeles. He was taken to County-USC Hospital, where he was declared dead the next day. The police are not sure if the incident was gang-related.
