The Echo Park gallery iam8bit kicked off their first big art show of 2013 with “It's the shizNICK” which payed homage to the Nickelodeon network that raised an entire generation in the 1990's. The themed art show honored programing like The Ren & Stimpy Show, The Adventures of Pete & Pete, Rocko's Modern Life, Salute Your Shorts, Rugrats, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, Hey Dude and so many more.
DJ Lance from Yo! Gabba Gabba kept the crowd dancing and a lucky few were able to live out their Double Dare Slime Time fantasies. Artist included Dave Crosland, Kelice Penney, Jacopo Rosati, Jude Buffum, Leba, Amanda Visell, Kate Ward, Mike Yamada, Joe Vaux, Priscilla Wong and more. All photos by Shannon Cottrell.
