Two Killed, Three Injured Semi-Truck Crash on Domenigoni Parkway

WINCHESTER, CA (September 8, 2023) – Late Wednesday morning, Israel Bermudez and Paloma Casares died in a big-rig accident on Leon Road.

Authorities responded to the scene around 11:40 a.m., near Deomenigoni Parkway. According to CHP, a big rig and a Dodge SUV collided in the eastbound lanes of Domenigoni.

Upon impact, the SUV spun out and struck a fire hydrant. Additionally, at least 50 gallons of oil and diesel spilled onto the roadway.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced two occupants inside the SUV dead at the scene. Police later identified them as 25-year-old Bermudez, of Buena Park and 32-year-old Casares, of Hemet.

Meanwhile, crews took two others to a nearby hospital for further treatment of moderate injuries. Moreover, the big-rig driver sustained minor injuries.
