17-Year-Old Boy Pronounced Dead after Car Accident on Indian School Road

PHOENIX, AZ (January 23, 2023) – Monday morning, Isaiah Soto was killed in a two-vehicle collision on 33rd Avenue. Per responding authorities, the incident occurred around 8:30 a.m., near Indian School Road on January 16th. At this time, the events leading up to and surrounding the crash remain unclear. However, initial reports indicate that a passenger vehicle and an SUV collided in the area for reasons unknown. Upon arrival, officers found 17-year-old Soto unconscious inside the vehicle. Officers transported Soto to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead. In addition, the SUV driver was also transported to a nearby hospital with major injuries. An active investigation is still currently in progress. Furthermore, both directions of the avenue were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
