Traffic Collision near Cactus Avenue Left Teen Dead, 7 Injured

MORENO VALLEY, CA (October 6, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, a two-vehicle crash on Moreno Beach Drive took the life of Isaac Linares.

The fatal incident happened on October 2nd, at around 3:15 p.m., at the intersection of Moreno Beach Drive and Cactus Avenue.

According to the report, a gray 2001 Lexus IS300, driven by Linares, ran past a red light and collided with a 2020 Honda Odyssey that entered the intersection on a green light. The Lexus then hit a metal traffic signal pole. The impact of the collision left several people with varying degrees of injuries.

Emergency crews arrived shortly after and pronounced the Lexus driver, 17-year-old Isaac Linares of Moreno Valley, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the 59-year-old female driver of the Honda and her five other passengers were hospitalized for minor injuries.
