24-Year-Old Female Rider Dies in Deadly Collision near Keyes Road

KEYES, CA (April 7, 2023) – Tuesday morning, police responded to a motorcycle crash on Highway 99 that claimed the life of Ireland Rolon. It happened on April 4th just before 8:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 99, just north of Keyes Road. According to the police, the incident involved multiple vehicles including a female rider identified as 24-year-old Rolon. Investigation showed that Rolon, riding a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle at a high rate of speed, collided with the side of a Kia Soul. Furthermore, the impact caused Rolon to be ejected from her motorcycle and crash into the rear of a Ford Fusion. Unfortunately, Rolon died at the scene by responding deputies. Moreover, a large portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, it was unknown if alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident. Further investigations are still ongoing.
