The sold-out Los Angeles 2011 IMATS took over the Pasadena Convention Center on June 25 and 26, and LA Weekly was there to spot all the newest trends and craziest creature make-up. Some of our favorite moments included: checking out Vegan brand OCC, with its lip tars that come in such fun shades as vapid, uber and harlot; getting a personal lesson in contouring from two-time Emmy-winning make-up artist Kevin James Bennet, who was flown in by Royal and Langnickel; and discovering that his lesson went great with the personal foundation match the Napoleon Perdis lounge was offering. And of course no trip to the IMATS would be complete without stopping by the crazy-busy MAC, MUFE, Stila, Youngblood, Naked and Inglot counters.
