Car Crash on Pacific Coast Highway Ends in Power Outages

MALIBU, CA (November 7, 2022) Saturday afternoon, a vehicle crash on Pacific Coast Highway left at least one injured, police said.

Authorities responded to the 22000 block of Pacific Coast Highway around 1:36 p.m. after receiving a report of a vehicle that struck a utility pole and a building under unclear circumstances.

The collision left at least one with minor injuries but first responders said the total number of injuries are currently unknown.

Furthermore, officials said the crash caused a power outage along PCH between Topanga Canyon Road and Big Rock Drive.

A large portion of the surrounding area was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash. However,  an active investigation is underway.
