Vehicle Accident near Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca Prompted Heavy Traffic

MONTEREY, CA (May 13, 2022) – A three-vehicle crash on Highway 68 left several injured and resulted in heavy traffic Tuesday afternoon.

According to California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 3:10 p.m. near Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca.

As a result, both lanes remained closed for nearly an hour. However, the roadway started to reopen around 3:50 pm with traffic controls.

In addition, authorities reported moderate injuries with vehicles sustaining major damage, although the exact number of injured as well as their identities were not released

Monterey County Officials continue to investigate the three-vehicle crash at this time.
