Road Closed after Back to Back Crashes on State Route 52

SAN DIEGO, CA (November 2, 2022) – Early Tuesday morning, injuries were reported after back to back collisions on State Route 52.

Authorities responded to the first scene on the westbound lanes of the the highway near Interstate 15. The first crash happened just before 4:15 a.m., and involved four vehicles including a big-rig.

The second incident happened shortly after around 5:30 a.m., also on the westbound lanes several miles from the first crash.

Emergency crews blocked off a large portion of the freeway during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.

In addition, injuries were reported after the second crash. However, authorities have not yet released any further details about those involved.

At this time, an active investigation into the back to back collisions on State Route 52 are still underway.
