For the past three years, Tank9 has been filming himself dancing with cosplayers at Anime Expo. The popular videos are filmed in some of the busiest portions of the Los Angeles Convention Center– including the food court and the South Hall lobby– so viewers get a good idea of what the convention really looks like.

Tank9 and dance partner Mary Nine, who also appears in the video, specialize in industrial dancing, but that style isn't a requirement for joining them at Anime Expo. You're as likely to see cosplayers stomping as you are to see them breaking.

We ran into Tank9 outside of the Convention Center food court while he was filming this year's video, where he told us that it looked like they would end up with more than 50 dancers in this video. From the story:

“Once we start filming, a lot of people want to jump in on the fun,” says Tank9. “They want to participate, which is a very good thing for me. It makes things a lot easier.”

In the meantime, watch Deadpool, Naruto, Spike Spiegel and many more get down to music from ACTioN 51 in “Anime Expo 2011 Dance to Space Electro.”
