Indie 103.1 fans are not gonna let their beloved station go down without a fight, or at least a fete or two. Tonight seems to be the night to convene with like-minded station mourners and maybe even a few of the DJs, as two clubs from Filipino Town to the Sunset Strip will be holding free parties in Indie's honor. The Medusa Lounge event's flyer is pretty clear on its intent.

On the other side of town, after the Love Grenades/War Tapes/Sam Sparro show at the Roxy, one of our favorite promoters Girl School (formerly of The Viper Room) are holding a midnight bash at On The Rox upstairs that's now billed as an impromptu “Peace Out Indie Party.” Since the station is/was presenting the show at the Roxy, the Girlschoolers say in their email invite that they're “pretty sure much of the station's staff will be there, hanging out and having shots. Or taking shots.”

The show is also presented by Metromix, which if the buzz is true, might also be in the house boozing it up pre-bon voyage style. It's free and open to all too, but RSVP at RSVPGIRLSCHOOL@GMAIL.COM to insure entry.

JUST ADDED: After their Key Club show down the street, Chromeo will be closing out the Roxy show with a DJ set.
