A July 4th celebration just wouldn't be the same without some type of barbecue dish at the table, whether at home or outside. Apparently, quite a few restaurants around town share that opinion — as most of the deals and specials we've listed below feature barbecue in one form or other. Take note that these apply tomorrow, July 4, unless otherwise specified.

Cafe del Rey

Daniel Roberts will have a three-course prix-fixe menu with BBQ chicken wings, spinach salad, BBQ beef short ribs and housemade watermelon sorbet for $40 per person. While dining, guests can enjoy a waterfront view of the marina, where an elaborate fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. 4451 Admiralty Way, Marina del Rey; (310) 823-6395.

Cafe Sierra

Cafe Sierra will be putting together a BBQ lunch buffet with holiday favorites like New York steak, baby back ribs, burgers, hot dogs, and cornbread from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $34 per adult and $14 per child (ages 3-10). 555 Universal Hollywood Dr., Universal City; (855) 779-3805.

Napa Valley Grille

The Westwood restaurant will run an all-day hapy hour from 3 p.m. to close with 50¢ chicken wings, $2 Pabst Blue Ribbon and a special $4 cocktail called the Firecracker meant to recall the cherry, lime and blue raspberry flavors of a Bomb Pop popsicle. 1100 Glendon Ave., Westwood; (310) 824-3322.

Public School 612

The Downtown restaurant will have a happy hour available tomorrow from 4 p.m. to closing with food specials ranging from $2-6 that include sliders, fried calamari and nachos. Drink specials include $4 beers, $5 well cocktails and $10 for a half-liter of red or white wine. 612 S. Flower St. #220, Los Angeles; (213) 623-1172.

Tortilla Republic

The West Hollywood restaurant is throwing a Red, White & Brunch starting on Thursday, July 4 and ending on Sunday, July 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The a la carte menu will include huevos divorciados with tomatillo ranchero sauce, TR Benedict on a Manchego black pepper scone, seared ahi and sweet potato hash, and fresh corn and blueberry pancakes.
