In The Details: How Tatu Panda is changing the Tattoo game

Inked Miami’s premier tattoo artists like Tatu Panda, designs top-of-the-line art in our tattoo parlor.

In an oversaturated world where content reigns supreme, it feels like it should be hard to stand apart from the pack, but for renowned Miami tattoo artist Marlon Cubero, AKA Tatu Panda, it’s simple – it’s all in the details.

Born and raised in the streets of the Magic City, Miami, Florida, Panda takes the artistry of tattooing to a whole new level. Having tagged the skin of every one from social media celebs to musicians, Panda’s photo-realistic portraits and flawless line-work is hard to grasp let alone mimic.

Influenced by the likes of Nikko Hurtado, Panda’s style is something he attributes to an obsession for the details and with the rebellious mindset he carried with him since his youth, “I was very rebellious when I was young, and I always loved to draw”. After years of the hustle and grind, doing free tattoos on his friends after school with the dream of opening his own parlour, Panda found his own voice with salon Inked Miami, a collab with Inked Magazine and business partner and Rolling Loud Festival co-creator Matt Zingler. Together, the duo built a rapport with some of Miami’s biggest celebs, creating a name for themselves. Panda has since inked the likes of the Montaner family, Marc Anthony, Swae Lee and Jake Paul.

Doing a lot of his work from the comfort and privacy of his clients homes, Panda gets to know his clients on a deeper level, leading to work that feels intimate and emotionally invested. A quick scroll through his instagram feed and you get a feel for Panda’s technical and artistic ability. His unmistakable pieces are full of detail and character, his social media showcases an impressive portfolio of hyper realistic portraits and super fine line work. About his competition, Panda says, “most people don’t want to see you succeed” and his advice to new and upcoming tattoo artists is to “follow your instinct and outwork your competition”.
