63-Year-Old Man Fatally Injured in Auto Accident near 5 Freeway

ENCINITAS, CA (November 9, 2022) – Tuesday morning, Igor V Bezrukov was killed in a solo-car accident on Santa Fe Drive.

Police responded to the scene along the 354 block of Santa Fe Drive near the 5 Freeway after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

According to reports, the victim was on their way to a scheduled doctors appointment at the time.

Investigators said that 63-year-old Bezrukov lost control of his vehicle and hit several chain link fences, before colliding with a tree. 

Eventually, responders arrived and transported Bezrukov to Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas Emergency Department, where he was pronounced dead. 

At this time, Encinitas Officials are working to determine further circumstances surrounding the accident. Once available, more information will be provided.
