In celebration of Star Wars Episode VII opening weekend, Newmindspace + Lightsaber Academy present: Lightsaber Battle LA 2015 at Pershing Square. The public event was open to all ages, having brought over 2000 “warriors” to New York City and Toronto-located events in the past. For dedicated Star Wars cosplayers who have their own sabers, the battle is free; for $10, newbies could reserve a color-changing sword in advance to be picked up upon arrival.
