0 1Hispanic Heritage Month is still going strong and we’re glad to see it being celebrated with events, in books and on our TV and computer screens. Hulu, for example, has a new campaign called Acentos Bienvenidos, highlighting intersectionality within Latin (“Latinx”) culture by focusing on under-represented communities and people. Check it out on YouTube and celebrate in person at this two-day immersive experience featuring performances by Mariachi Arcoiris, Yamil and Yalil Guerra Orchestra and Heart of Samba and more at The Citadel (the cool, castle-looking shopping mall off the 5 fwy). Original art such as the Mayans piece in our lead photo, and selfie scenes inspired by Hulu’s shows and films will be on display, and the fiesta will be hosted by Alexander Rodriguez (iHeartRadio) and LA’s own reina fave Valentina (RuPaul’s Drag Race). Sat.-Sun., Oct. 9- 10; 11 a.m.- 9 p.m. The Citadel Outlets Center Court, 100 Citadel Dr. Commerce. citadeloutlets.com
