Mommie Dearest, the 1981 Faye Dunaway/Joan Crawford camp classic based on daughter Christina Crawford's 1978 tell-all book of the same name, is turning 30 and feeling over the hill. Director Christopher Kenney helps celebrate this milestone with the all-male parody Mommie Queerest, which adds another twist to the story: Joan Crawford really was a man pretending to be a woman. Running since 2003, the play's Jamie Morris and Brooks Braselman — both of whom you might remember from another drag parody, The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode — revive their roles as mother and daughter, respectively. Matt Crabtree and Gavyn Michaels round out the cast, playing 25 characters in more than 30 quick vignettes, including a farting sequence and slapping scene choreographed to Kim Carnes' “Bette Davis Eyes.” (Funny how both Mommie Dearest and Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? involve Crawford and a curly-haired blonde who hates her.) Over-arch your brows, over-line your lipstick and bring a wire hanger or ax. Ultra Suede, 661 N. Robertson Blvd., W. Hlywd.; Thurs.-Sat., 8 p.m.; thru Oct. 1; $25. (323) 960-7774.
