How much does Peptide Therapy cost?

Peptide therapy has been making the headlines as a means to make life a lot easier. Wanna lose fat? Build muscle? Reduce the signs of aging? Hell, do you want to improve your cognitive function? Depending on the peptide you take you could do any of those and more. But what about the costs? Peptide therapy doesn’t come cheap – depending on where you go. Let’s compare some of the available options and what they’ll run you.

What exactly is Peptide Therapy?

Before we delve into the brass tax of Peptide Therapy and how much it’ll cost you we need to discuss what peptide therapy actually classifies at. Legally, the definition reads as “Therapeutic peptides are a unique class of pharmaceutical agents composed of a series of well-ordered amino acids”.

Between us, peptide therapy is simply the use of certain peptides to alleviate symptoms or fix a dysfunction. Peptides can be described as amino acids that are bound with peptide bonds – hence the name.

Depending on the amino acids used and the sequence of amino acids the peptides will have different effects on the human body. What you’ll find is that most of the peptides are either somehow connected to Human Growth Hormone or to another peptide already found in the body – but not all of them.

Types of Peptide Therapy

There are two main types of Peptide Therapy – via a clinic or with research peptides. Each has its own benefits and drawbacks.

Peptide Clinics

Peptide clinics have been popping up around the country one after the other and for good reason. Most of these are online and grant the user the ability to see a consultant without going into the doctor’s office and they even get their meds shipped to their homes.

Peptide clinics usually offer a vast array of treatments, ranging from weight loss peptides to peptides that improve sexual dysfunction. You will work with medical professionals who take blood measurements and discuss your symptoms with you.

You could ask for a specific treatment, however, it’s unlikely you will get that specific treatment without actually having the symptoms.

Research Peptides

Before peptides get approved by the FDA for human use it needs to go through rigorous testing. This testing can last years on end and up until it has been confirmed for humans these peptides are simply known as ‘research peptides’.

These peptides may be sold as ‘research peptides’ and should be labeled as ‘not for human use’ and cannot have the words ‘dietary supplement’ anywhere on the product.

Various online companies do sell peptides for you to buy, however, you will need to calculate your own dosage and cycling ‘ideas’. This is potentially a lot more dangerous but almost always quite a lot cheaper.

You are almost able to get any peptide you want, however, certain peptides may not be sold to the public at all without a prescription from a medical professional – like human growth hormone.

But what does Peptide Therapy cost?

Now that we know it works and what options there are we need to finally discuss the obvious – costs.

Peptide therapy from a clinic will always run you a bit higher than getting peptide therapy from a ‘research’ source. The reason for this is simple – people. Going through a clinic will cost you more because you pay for the website, the doctor, the shipping, the secretary, the UX-designer, etc.

One more thing to consider is that each peptide will have an individual cost. For instance, most of the peptides that boost human growth hormones like CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin are far more cost-effective than some of the more ‘exotic’ peptides. These peptides have been produced and used for so long that the production methods are really effective.

Some of the newer peptides like Semaglutide have not had the time to ‘develop’ and for the methods to become cheaper. That doesn’t mean the prices won’t fall in time, however.

Peptide therapy from a clinic can cost anything from $100 per month up to $1000, but is likely $500ish.

Research peptides are almost always cheaper. You don’t have to pay for a doctor, a medical assistant, a phone company, etc. You get the product, and that’s it. Typically, the companies don’t even give you the information about the peptide because they’re not always allowed to.

This means while you have a cheaper product you only get that. You need to calculate your dosages, how long you’re going to use it, and what side effects to expect (yes, peptides have side effects).

Coming back to the point mentioned before, there are a lot more peptides available on these vendor sites because they can sell any peptide that’s classified as ‘research’. You will come across some pricey options, costing up to $300 per bottle. These more expensive options are usually the peptides that are still very early on in development or just are a pain to develop and produce.

Research peptides can cost up to $1000 per month, but can also be as little as $35, generally will cost you around $100-200.

Which one is Best for Me?

So, which one should you choose? The more expensive option that has the added benefit of guidance or the cheaper option that leaves you with nothing but the product.

Peptide therapy through a clinic is best for those who really have a massive dysfunction. I am referring to those individuals who have horribly wrong hormonal results or other problems. Typically, we see elderly individuals doing far better with clinics purely because peptides are somewhat tricky to understand.

Research peptides are a great option for those who simply want to improve their lives. Those who want to lose a few pounds or simply sleep better – they might not have the need for chronic treatment. They can use a few peptides for a couple of months and be done with it. Also, you have to be savvy with these peptides, you have to be able to do research on them, how to use them, and when to stop.
