As West Coast church of house music Deep celebrates its 11th anniversary Sunday, it's also calling it quits. Promoter and DJ Marques Wyatt made the announcement this week. The Valentine's Day wrap party will include Mark Farina, Miguel Migs, Lisa Shaw and Wyatt himself on the decks.

Deep has arguably been the West Coast's most long-running and prominent deep house night, with the likes of Louie Vega, Dennis Ferrer and Joe Claussell calling it their California base. But changes at its home club Vanguard recently — Saturday night anchor Dave Dean has left for Avalon, and the club essentially cleared its calendar — call into question whether the venue will revamp its business plan or transform into something else altogether.

Wyatt has been DJing since the 1980s, including a stint as co-host of the legendary after-hours parties Does Your Mama Know? at Coconut Teaser in Hollywood in the mid-1990s, so we don't expect him to fade from the scene.

Deep happens Sunday with Mark Farina, Miguel Migs, Lisa Shaw and Marques Wyatt at Vanguard, 6021 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood. 21+. Info.
