Hot chicks don't get tix, right? Maybe. Jerks in douche-mobiles (the always-leased Audi A4, the self-important Mini or the self-righteous Prius) surely get more tickets than the rest of us? Not really.

In fact, ladies in Mercedes (SL-class roadsters) are the drivers most likely to get a ticket, according to a study released this week by Quality Planning, a company that conducts research for the insurance industry.

The average age of said Merc operator? A milfy 53.

Next up is the uber-boring Toyota Camry/Solara-platformed vehicles, the ones your moms drive –and mothers are the ones getting the tickets:

According to Quality (PDF) more than six out of 10 ticket-receivers in that particular vehicle are women (average age — 50 — and they like to kick, stretch and kick when they're not speeding). In fact, seven out of the top 10 cars targeted for traffic tickets are more likely to be driven by females.

The third-most-popular ticket-getting car?

This one makes sense: The Scion TC. As Quality notes it's “the car Toyota designed expressly for Gen 'Y'ers …”

The rest:

Hummer H2/H3 SUV

Scion XB Hatchback

Mercedes-Benz CLS-63 AMG Sedan

Acura Integra Coupe

Pontiac Grand Prix Sedan

Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG Sedan

Volkswagen GTI Hatchback

Quality states that, in general, the most ticket-attracting cars are “spirited vehicles.” The ones that don't? Despite the inclusion hear of a Hummer and the GTI, “SUVs and hatchbacks showed lower violations on average than traditional two- and four-door vehicles.”

With three Mercs on the list (two are AMG sleepers) you can discount that old theory that mom cars attract the least attention from cops.
