You love movies. You love books. Ergo, you must love Larry Edmunds Bookshop. The Hollywood Boulevard stalwart, in business for more than seven decades, boasts an inventory of half a million movie photographs, 20,000 film and theater books, 6,000-plus original movie posters, and encyclopedic cinematic knowledge you can't find anywhere else, certainly not online (save for their snazzy website). They put on fantastic events, too; last time this writer dropped by, she narrowly missed a bout of fisticuffs between Adam West and William Shatner. Brace yourself for a different slice of Tinseltown magic with “Long Gone Hollywood,” an image-laden lecture specially created for Larry Edmunds by The Story of Hollywood: An Illustrated History author and Hollywood native Gregory Paul Williams. His book, considered one of the best local histories ever assembled, is jam-packed with previously unseen photos and local lore and celebrates a new paperback edition tonight. Larry Edmunds Bookshop, 6644 Hollywood Blvd., Hlywd.; Wed., Feb. 29, 7 p.m.; free. (323) 463-3273, larryedmunds.com.
