You may never live in the perfect digs, but you can build a perfect miniature paradise at the Skirball. The museum acts as your real estate agent with the help of Subject to_change, a British theater company whose interactive installation, home sweet home , has already traveled through Europe and Canada. For $15, you can buy land and construct a house or business with supplied materials in the 8,000-square foot Getty Gallery. Your new place will be surrounded by more than 600 other buildings, including landmarks like the Skirball, Walt Disney Concert Hall and Watts Towers. Come back and visit for the duration of the exhibit (through Oct. 3), make upgrades, pick up your mail, even file a complaint with the city council. After last week's town hall meeting, the museum hosts a final block party where you can meet your neighbors in person and take your creation home.

Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: Sept. 24. Continues through Oct. 3, 2010
