If you require more beer in your life to get you through the questionable days between Christmas and New Years, especially if your team didn't quite wind up in the bowl game you wanted, Santa Monica's Library Alehouse will be having a Holiday Brew Fest on December 29. The alehouse will have Mikkeller Fra Til, a holiday spiced Baltic porter, as well as Gouden Carolus Noel, Delirium Noel, Port's Santa's Little Helper, Sierra Celebration, Anderson Valley Winter Solstice, Stone/JollyPumpkin/NogneO Holiday, N'Ice Chouffe 08 and Anchor Christmas, some of which are in bottles, though most are on tap.

And if you want to feel better about ordering a few pints too many, a percentage of sales will benefit the Los Angeles County Bike Coalition. No drinking and biking though. It's just not pretty. There will also be a bicycle valet from 5 p.m. onwards run by LACBC. What's a bicycle valet? You're gonna have to ask the bartender about that one.

The Library Alehouse: 2911 Main Street, Santa Monica; (310) 314-4855.
