6 Injured, One Killed in Traffic Accident near Primm

JEAN, NV (July 20, 2022) – A two-car crash on Interstate 15 left 57-year-old Hirah Loera dead and 6 others injured Tuesday morning.

The accident happened at 7:10 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15, near Primm on July 12th.

According to the reports, a red Nissan SUV and a red Toyota pickup were headed north when the SUV rear-ended the pickup for reasons unknown.

As a result, the pickup truck continued into the center median and went airborne.

Eventually, one female passenger of the pickup was ejected and died at the scene. Authorities later identified the deceased as Hirah Loera of California.

Paramedics then airlifted the driver of the pickup to University Medical Center in a serious condition.

Meanwhile, the male driver of the SUV and his 4 passengers were rushed to the hospital via ambulance. Police have not released their names or current conditions.

Furthermore, the crash caused traffic delays and road closures in the southbound lanes for several hours but has since reopened.

Nevada State Patrol is investigating the fatal crash on I-15 and will release updates once available.
