Hillary Clinton has touted the things she has in common with Latina grandmothers. She says she carries hot sauce in her purse at all times. And she's the frontrunning opponent of a man, Donald Trump, largely reviled in Latino communities.

So what's not to like?

There are Mexican-Americans in town who have found plenty not to like as the former Secretary of State was scheduled to speak at a Cinco de Mayo rally at East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park this afternoon.

Latino groups are organizing a protest of Clinton's 3 p.m. visit. Listed organizers include Union del Barrio-LA, MEXA de ELAC and the Los Angeles Brown Berets.

We reached out to a couple organizers but did not hear back.

They “call on the L.A. community to join us this Thursday to tell Hillary that she is NOT WELCOMED in L.A.!” a Facebook post about the demonstration states.

Organizers called Clinton an enemy of the working class. They also argue that her Central American policies as secretary of state caused death, destruction and deportation.

The demonstrators plan to gather at Belvedere Park in East Los Angeles at 3 p.m. and then march to the community college men's gym two blocks away, where Clinton is scheduled to address supporters.

Organizers of Clinton's stop said in a statement, “She has spent her career fighting for children and families and as president she’ll continue to get results.”

While she's in town, Clinton reportedly will attend a $2,700-per-person fundraiser hosted by city Councilman Jose Huizar.
