It was a case of girl-on-girl violence. A 16-year-old was stabbed as many as four times by a teen the same age who was a member of the school choir at Hart High School in Newhall Wednesday, according to authorities and reports.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon following the on-campus attack, according to CBS2 news. What sparked such rage?
Possibly a boy.
The suspect's boyfriend reportedly broke up with her, maybe for the victim.
L.A. County Sheriff's Lt. Tom Bryski describes the weapon as an eight-inch kitchen knife. This suspect wasn't playin'.
The victim was hospitalized, but her wounds weren't life-threatening, he said.
Students on campus were surprised, with one teenager telling CBS2, “I never though she would really do something like this. She always seemed like the sweetest girl.”
A teacher broke up the violence, which was reported about 12:30 p.m. — lunch time.
