72-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Spring Mountain Hit-and-Run Crash

LAS VEGAS, NV (August 6, 2021) – 72-year-old Heyin Fang died Sunday morning after a pedestrian hit-and-run crash on Spring Mountain Road.

The fatal accident occurred near the intersection of Spring Mountain and Wynn Road on July 13. Dispatchers arrived to the area around 6:30 a.m.

According to reports, Fang stepped into the street to take photos of some businesses when a silver 2005 Toyota Highlander struck him.

Emergency crews took him to UMC Trauma, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, the involved driver fled the scene on eastbound Spring Mountain Road.

According to the officers in charge of the investigation, the involved vehicle suffered damage to its front right.

At this time, authorities are conducting active investigation of the crash. Once available, more information will be released.
