Are you a pothead in need of a job? Self-proclaimed stoner and Korean taco master Roy Choi might have just the gig for you. Choi is hiring at his new spot, POT, which is an ode to another type of pot: hot pots, of course, in addition to blood soups and Korean street fare. Located inside the new Line hotel at Wilshire and Normandie, POT is seeking to fill just about every possible restaurant position imaginable   – dishwashers, line cookers, prep cooks and runners to baristas, cashiers, bartenders and servers all the way to sous chefs and management. 

No matter what your cooking expertise or skill set is, it seems as if Roy Choi's got a job for you. And rest assured potheads, you can bet there won't be any drug-testing involved for this gig at POT. Just read one of Choi's latest tweets: “If you need a job and wanna work for a stoner like me come here next week.”

He's referring to the job fair he's hosting next Wednesday Feb. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and next Saturday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Ballroom A of the Line hotel. The fair is advertised in a Craigslist posting that warns that parking isn't free, but there's plenty of lots nearby as well as the Metro purple line located just across the street from Line. Can't make it to the fair? Email Choi with your resume and available dates, and maybe he'll give you another shot. 

Line Hotel opened on Wednesday, Jan. 1 and POT is slated to open Wednesday, Feb. 5. That's less than a week from today, which means Choi's got quite a lot of hiring to do. POT will include a lobby bar, described on Line's website as a “classic hotel bar as found in Korea for international travelers,” a café based on “the delicious chaos of Taiwanese bakeries” and a commissary focused on fresh fruits and vegetables.

It's worth noting that POT's website features an amazingly wacky claymation of noodles, hot dogs, mushrooms, tofu and carrots, all getting naked and baked in a hot tub while listening to Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's “Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang.” If this video is any indication of what it'll be like to work for Choi, then you might want to send in those resumes.
