“I just shit my pants for the last time this year,” Marc Maron announced on his final WTF podcast of 2012. It was a fantastic year for the veteran (a word most comics probably hate to see before their name) standup. WTF — produced in his garage in Highland Park, mostly — consistently showed up on best-podcast lists with killer guests including David Cross, Patton Oswalt, Janeane Garofalo, Jim Gaffigan and Doug Stanhope. Now there's a TV show in the works and he's finishing up a book. Maron's gearing up for his big Out of the Garage Tour with this Ice House show. “I had given up on any of this shit happening,” he said on WTF recently, “and that's when things started to turn around for me. I never thought TV was going to happen to me. Not only is the podcast getting better; I love doing it. I found my place in the world, and my comedy has never been better. I'm not going to rest on my laurels, but there's always the chance I will take the laurels and throw them on the ground and stomp on them and say, 'Fuck you.' My health is OK, my house is OK, I'm financially OK, things are OK. I don't hope for great. Can we all join hands and say, 'Let's be OK.'” OK! Ice House, 24 N. Mentor Ave., Pasadena; Sun., Jan. 13, 7 p.m.; $22.50. (626) 577-1894.
