There are things you might know about Los Angeles City Councilman Herb Wesson. Like how he was once the state assembly speaker, one of the most powerful posts in the Golden State. Or that he got nearly 100 percent of the vote in the last election in his 10th District.

But one thing you probably didn't know … this guy big rippa brah! That's right, when Wesson isn't voting in serious matters such as banning cat declawing and incremental and so-far meaningless moves on RV dwellers in Venice, he's getting oh-so technical on four wheels, including executing kickflips, heelflips, and pop shove-its.

The councilman is so sick on the street the “Wassup Rockers” crowd calls him “Straight-To-Tha-Curb” Herb.

The photo depicts Wesson at the opening of the $300,000 Rancho Cienega Sports Complex's Charmette Bonpua Safe Spot Skate Spot, named in the memory of his late chief of staff.

Ride on, Herb.
