KCRW's Henry Rollins brought his radio show to the stage last night at Echoplex with a sampling of his ultra rare “Top Shelf Gear” for only the ears of those in attendance. The show opened with a vocal heavy mix of a Queen classic reminding us of a day when singers could actually sing. Whoa! Other highlights included a taste of the rapping styles of Dee Dee King (Ramone), a listen to a track from the cassette of Bad Brains second show and much more from a collection that must be as vast as the lengths the man has traveled.
