70-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed in Fatal Accident on US 6

TONOPAH, NV (June 22, 2021) – 70-year-old Henry Thomas McGrady Jr. died Thursday morning after a pedestrian accident on U.S. 6 in Tonopah.

The fatal accident happened around 8:30 a.m. June 10, on U.S. 6 near the Millers Rest area.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, a Ford Transit van driver traveling west on US 6 veered to avoid a pedestrian on the road. The pedestrian, on the other hand, ran in the same path as the van and was hit.

Authorities identified the deceased victim as 70-year-old Henry Thomas McGrady Jr., of Las Vegas.

McGrady was reportedly picking up a piece of clothing that had fallen out of his vehicle.

Furthermore, during the investigation, authorities closed U.S. 6 in both directions. But, the roadway it has since reopened.
