Multi-Vehicle Collision on Barranca Street Left One Fatality, One Injured
WEST COVINA, CA (June 8, 2022) – A crash on 10 Freeway killed 52-year-old Henri Chinchilla and left at least one other person injured Saturday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the incident around 4:26 a.m. to the Barranca Street off-ramp of the westbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway.
Furthermore, upon arrival, authorities located several vehicles including a tan Nissan Altina, a red Honda Civic, and a minivan blocking several traffic lanes after the crash.
In addition, witnesses said a body was lying in the fourth lane of the freeway with several debris from the collision.
Eventually, Henri Chinchilla of Los Angeles was pronounced dead at the scene. No other information regarding the other involved parties is available at this time.
In the end, West Covina Officials closed multiple lanes of the freeway for several hours to conduct an investigation.
