So, Machine Project, who you may know about from the time they took over LACMA for a day, or from any of the many wonderful strange events that happen at their Echo Park space, will be turning the gallery into a forest in the month to come. According to Mark Allen, via the website:

“The forest will evolve, getting spookier and spookier as the weeks pass, until at the end of the month it is a totally scary haunted forest. Seriously. A regular schedule of lectures, readings and performances will also continue to take place in Machine Project throughout the month, staged inside the forest.”

Christy McCaffrey and Sara Newey will be spearheading the installation. There will be a volunteer meeting this Thursday March 12th at 8:30 p.m. for those who want to help turn the gallery into a forest. A “great opportunity if you are interested in building very real looking fake forests.” Awesome, right?
