CHP Officer Injured in Traffic Accident on Indiana Avenue

RIVERSIDE, CA (May 17, 2022) – Authorities took Heather Fernandez Hernandez into custody after a hit-and-run on Adams Street.

The crash happened on Adams Street and Indiana Avenue just before 5:00 a.m. According to the investigation, Hernandez hit a CHP Officer riding a motorcycle.

Due to the impact of the collision, the involved officer sustained moderate injuries. Eventually, paramedics transported the officer to a hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, Heather Fernandez Hernandez fled from the scene before officers stopped her vehicle on Lincoln Avenue near Monroe Street.
