Holiday variety shows are always more cuddly when rooted in family ties. Harry Shearer and his lovely singer wife, Judith Owen, don't have a brood like the Osmonds, but they do have a slew of cool friends. What began as a homey holiday hootenanny in their living room has become the 10-years-running Judith Owen and Harry Shearer's Holiday Sing-Along. Of past Sing-Alongs, Judith Owen has said, “By the end of the show, when we do 'White Christmas,' I literally could cry.” This year's guests are Julia Fordham, CJ Vanston, Richard Thompson, Weird Al Yankovic, Steve Lukather, Lee Sklar and Jo Pusateri. And yes, they're serious about you singing along no matter how bad a singer you are, so no lip-synching. Largo at the Coronet, 366 N. La Cienega Blvd.; Fri., Dec. 14, 8 p.m.; $50. (310) 855-0350.
