One of the most important, influential, and obsessed-over contemporary photographers in the world, Annie Leibovitz is the perfect figure to kick off Hauser & Wirth’s new online discussion series, Art Chat, on its Thursday, April 2 debut.
Hosted by the mega-gallery’s education department, the idea is to engineer a proper 20-minute conversation among the hosts and the participants — which is why, although free of charge, they’re controlling attendance for the live version. (See below to reserve a spot.)
But they will also be recording the sessions and making them available — in addition to their already-rich archive of short artist films, and brand new From a Distance series of video stories and messages to the world recorded by the Hauser & Wirth gallery artists from inside their own isolation — at their website.
Thursday, April 2, -5:3pm Pacific Time on Zoom: zoom.us/j/676949545.
Free, however since space is super limited reservations via Eventbrite are recommended.
