A new project seeks to help people wash their hands for the required amount of time by having them scrub for the entirety of a 20 second song through Amazon Alexa.

Yeah, it seems like people should know how to wash their hands by now. But during these critical days and weeks, it’s better not to take any chances.

According to the developers, “The project is called ‘Handwash Jukebox.’ It’s an Alexa skill that plays a different 20-second song every time someone opens up the skill. At the end of every song, we tell the user who the artist was and where to find more of their music. People stop spreading the virus, artists get more fans. We all get to do something useful during this really crappy time.”

The creators are looking for musicians to provide 20-30 second songs of all genres. They should be suitable for children, and possibly make sense in a hand-washing context. Think you can help? Email daniel@danielbremmer.com.
