Deadly Bakersfield Plane Accident Results in Two Fatalities

BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 19, 2021) Hal Derwin Wood and David Joseph Moynihan died in a plane crash on Garlock Road, Friday afternoon.

The accident happened around 2:00 p.m., in the area of Garlock Road near Highway 395. According to reports, a two-seater plane crashed in the open desert for still unknown reasons.

Due to the impact of the collision, two occupants inside the plane suffered fatal injuries. Authorities now identify the victim as Hal Derwin Wood, 68, of Murrieta and David Joseph Moynihan, 31, from San Diego.
