Hakeem Rowe is one of the most important interviewers in the music industry at this point.

He has given countless debut interviews with some of the hottest up and coming rappers in the industry. In fact, he has given debut interviews to MOST of the hottest up-and-coming rappers in the industry including  Yeat, Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely, Nardo Wick and dozens of other now household names in the rap community. Not to mention, he also holds an A&R position at Victor Victor, headed by Steven Victor, a testament to his impeccable taste and eye for talent.

Before Hakeem was in his roles at Victor Victor and Our Generation Music, his media career started with No Jumper.

No Jumper is a YouTube channel and podcast that features interviews with hip-hop and rap artists, as well as up-and-coming musicians in various genres. No Jumper has become known for its in-depth and often unscripted interviews, which often cover a wide range of topics, including the artists’ personal lives, their creative process, and their experiences in the music industry.

Adam22 and No Jumper are no strangers to controversy and drama. Adam22 and No Jumper have recently been under fire for allegedly leaking personal sexual information about an employee on-air, without the employee’s consent.

IMG 1239 After the firing of a long-time No Jumper employee, Hakeem came to the realization that it was his time to move on as well.

“Listen, if this employee has been friends with Adam for 30 years and this is how he was treated in this situation, then this person [Adam] probably doesn’t care about me either. So I was like ‘I should just leave now, and figure my shit out.’” Hakeem told Rockstar Lifestyle.

“I don’t think he was being a good leader at all.”

After Hakeem’s departure from No Jumper and a successful stint working in social media for RSVP Gallery, headed by Don C and the legendary Virgil Abloh, he found himself at Our Generation Music.

Our Generation Music, created by Miguel Sarabia and Ivan Parra, is one of the most influential platforms for hip-hop in the entire music scene and is led by content creators Hakeem Rowe and Emwell.

OGM is this big Instagram blog now and we really helped break a lot of these artists,” Hakeem said when speaking about the importance of his role with OGM.

Throughout his career, Hakeem has proven himself an amazing personality and an important voice in the industry. As an immigrant, he spent his childhood in Jamaica before coming to NYC in elementary school, and is now living the quintessential American dream. He does what he loves for a living, he helps shine a light on talented artists in need of exposure, and most importantly, he is pushing the culture forward through art.

One day Hakeem wants to own his own label, create high-end furniture, and become a media mogul, with Diddy as one of his inspirations. Listening to him speak on the Rockstar Lifestyle podcast, it’s evident that he has the power to accomplish all of these dreams.
