If you missed Cavern Club Theater's holiday drag shows this month with Jackie Beat and Feliz Navi Divas, make sure to catch the Boofont Sisters' Jingling for Jesus. Christmas is the gayest time of year, and the unrelated sisters Ruby and Vicky – who originally hail from Reno – add campy twists to already campy classics from Dolly Parton to LaBelle, in addition to show tunes and, of course, Christmas carols. (Their version of “The Little Drummer Boy” is the oddest rendition by a duo since David Bowie and Bing Crosby.) If you've ever seen the girls around town, you know that they've performed on stages as big as the baby Jesus' manger and wear wigs as high as the Star of Bethlehem. Don't worry if you see them getting winded during their songs; the sisters not only have big hair but are big everywhere else. It's worth noting that Ruby is a biological female, although after a couple of margaritas, it's anyone's guess. Cavern Club Theater at Casita del Campo, 1920 Hyperion Ave., Silver Lake; Thurs.-Fri., Dec. 20-21, 8 p.m.; $25, $20 in advance. (800) 838-3006, cavernclubtheater.com
