61-Year-Old Woman Dies in Pedestrian Crash on International Boulevard

OAKLAND, CA (March 11, 2022) – 61-year-old Gwendolyn Carson died in a hit-and-run crash on International Boulevard early Saturday morning.

The collision happened at 2:15 a.m. in the 9900 block on International Boulevard.

Furthermore according to reports, the woman was hit while walking along a crosswalk in the area.

Eventually, responding officers pronounced the woman dead at the scene due to the extent of her injuries.

Moreover, the officials later identified the woman as 61-year-old Pittsburg woman, Carson.

Meanwhile, the vehicle also fled the scene before officers arrived, according to the California Highway Patrol. There is no description of the vehicle, and it is unclear which direction the driver fled.
