For the past two years, Israeli-born, L.A.-based DJ/producer Guy Gerber has been throwing free beach parties in Ibiza called Rumors, with no announced lineups and DJs playing extended sets. Now, after stops in Miami, London and Mexico City, Rumors is coming to Los Angeles.

Set to take place on Saturday, June 11, the L.A. incarnation of Rumors won't be a free beach party, but it will take place in a setting just as iconic to our city: historic Gin Ling Way in Chinatown. Though the pedestrianized street has hosted music events in the past, this will be the first one devoted exclusively to electronic dance music.

Joining Gerber on the decks will be another Ibiza favorite, the legendary DJ Harvey, whom L.A. Weekly writers recently named the best DJ in Los Angeles. Both will play extended sets.

You can purchase tickets to the Rumors Chinatown Block Party via Resident Advisor for $25 and up.

And now, a little taste of Gerber in action:
